This passed December, PTR CEO Mike Savage, Vice President Gary Fudala, and Director of Manufacturing Bob Walker visited the new Welding Lab at Father Judge High School in Philadelphia.

We’re especially thankful to Brian King, President of Father Judge High School and Joe Williams, Welding Instructor, for welcoming the PTR crew to the school. It was a pleasure to spend the day with the students and check out the progress with the new lab!

PTR is proud to have been one of the first supporters of their Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. We’re thrilled to have be able to aid in the development of this program through the donation of tools, metals, sticks, safety equipment and other resources. Great job to all the students and we wish you success in all of their future careers.

We also collected baby supplies, diapers, bottle and onesies for several expectant mothers, and hats, gloves, and hair accessories for teenage girls who were adopted by another charity.

The gifts will be dropped off today, December 19th, at Drexel House. Thank you everyone for supporting our charity every year! You’ve all helped give these children a happier holiday.

Each year around this time, PTR organizes our Holiday Giving Project. Employees across all departments of the company are asked to bring in various items to be donated to chosen organizations throughout the holiday season.

This year, we began collecting canned goods as well as gently worn winter clothing like hats, scarves and gloves, since the end of October. All were donated to the St. Francis of Assisi Soup Kitchen on Kensington Ave. in time for Thanksgiving.

Now, we’re excited to see what we can gather for the St. Francis/ St. Vincent Home for Children before the drive ends on December 13th! We’re collecting items for boys and girls ages 13 to 21.

We’re very proud to support these fantastic local charities. Thanks to all employees who have contributed so far, and let’s keep those donations coming!
