Units shipping out from Plant City, FL.

PTR Baler & Compactor opened a new manufacturing facility in Plant City Florida in July of 2016. Since then, we’ve surpassed many of our expectations and goals. Deciding where to open a new facility was a yearlong search, and Plant City turned out to be a winning choice. It was the ideal location to be able to better serve PTR’s growing customer base in the Southeast region.

Now, less than one year after opening it’s doors, the Plant City, Florida facility is firing on all cylinders. We’re manufacturing and distributing our units non-stop. The demand for our high quality, durable balers and compactors has been increasing, so one of the primary goals of the new facility was to expand our capacity. We’re fully committed to providing the best baler and compactor on the market and our success is a testament to that. We’re proud to lead the industry in waste and recycling equipment and continually focus on design and development. Our customer service, repair and maintenance plan is unparalleled in the industry.

PTR is drawn to working with partners that exhibit our same core values. First and foremost, producing high quality products and focusing on customer service and satisfaction. As part of the process for choosing the new location, we looked at other industry leaders in the area. There were several that stood out, including Publix Supermarket. Publix, which is headquartered in Plant City, is the perfect example of the type of business that we like to work with.

Our commitment to the Plant City community during this initial year is just as strong as it is at the headquarters in Philadelphia. Over time, as we set down our roots, it will only continue to grow. Job creation and keeping American manufacturing viable is something we at PTR are laser-focused on. The new facility has provided many jobs to the Plant City area. We believe job creation is key to improving the local economy and the overall welfare of the community. Our Plant City location has allowed us to continue those traditions.

Here’s an example of what’s going on at the Plant City location. We’re manufacturing units like the TP2000SP by the truck load. The TP2000SP is one of our most popular models of stationary compactors. It’s an excellent dry waste compactor, perfect for cardboard and mixed paper waste. One of the primary focuses of our engineers while designing this model was longevity. We wanted to produce a stationary compactor that would be able to hold up to the high volume of markets like hotels, manufacturing centers, hospitals, home centers, recycling centers and retailers. The TP2000SP is equipped with top quality electrical and hydraulic components.

Like all of PTR’s products, this model is extremely durable, built using heavy-duty structural steel and welded by AWS certified welders. The TP2000SP model is also simple to use with 3 button controls. It’s safe, fast and efficient, with an average cycle time of just 65 seconds. This keeps your company’s waste management processes moving along smoothly.

For the many generations that PTR Baler & Compactor has been in business, we’ve been able to perfect our products’ design through years of repeated testing and gathering customer feedback. We’ve personally developed many of the key designs that make our vertical balers the best on the market. The 2300HD is our most popular standard HD vertical downstroke baler, and for good reason. It’s the most durable vertical baler available, built with heavy duty structural steel and jig-fixtured components. This allows for reliable, accurate repeated movement. What it means to you is the continued seamless flow of your company’s daily operations.

The versatile 2300HD model produces cardboard bales up to 1,100 lbs. The full size, 1,000 lb. cardboard bale is key in order for it to be easily marketable as a valuable commodity. You can efficiently bale cardboard, plastic P.E.T. bottles, aluminum cans and siding. By keeping floorspace clear of discarded materials, you’ll get maximum use of your space. The 2300HD is simple to use, and most importantly, safe. PTR Baler & Compactor is proud to offer products manufactured in the U.S.A. and fully U.L. approved.

Currently, we serve 17 of the 20 largest retail chains in the country. That’s because we manufacture the most reliable, durable vertical balers on the market. The 2300HD can accommodate the high volume waste common in warehouses, retail stores, distribution centers and more.

The 2300HD is excellent for markets like:
