PTR Baler & Compactor attends WasteExpo 2023
We had a great experience attending WasteExpo2023 in New Orleans last week. There were over 13,000 attendees and over 500 exhibitors. It was great to connect with old friends and new clients, while learning whats new and whats coming for 2023 and behind.
Held in beautiful New Orleans, Louisiana, WasteExpo is the largest event of its kind covering products and services for the solid waste, organics recycling and food waste reduction industries. For some this is the only trade show they attend each year! For over 50 years, this trade show always delivers. Attendees were from all types of businesses – from corporate management to engineering to operations.
There was no shortage of things on the agenda. We learned about disruptive technologies effecting the Industry to whats new with Sustainability efforts to new Innovations. There was also Waste 360’s TRASHION: A recycle, reuse, refashion show! Truly something different. One of the most interesting topics was the future sustainable packaging, which is turning into a huge industry. Another one of note for “Pathway for a Circular Materials Economy”
A great article on what was trending at the event can be found on Waste360’s website. It covers the main take aways from the event, including that Pricing remained strong, Recycle commodity prices are predicted to go up, Mergers and Acquisitions look to remain strong in 2023, The need for real solutions for hiring and retaining employees, Electric vehicles gaining traction quickly and more.
We’re already looking forward to WasteExpo 2024 in Las Vegas!
