    PTR Baler & Compactor Has an Immediate Opening for a Maintenance and Safety Manager

    As we continue to grow, we need to add to our team. In this important position, one would oversee and help execute maintenance for our facility in Philadelphia. This includes environmental compliance, equipment maintenance, building maintenance and building utility systems. It’s an important role for two major reasons – We have to keep things moving and with as little downtime as possible. Also Safety is of the highest priority here at PTR. Its part of our day to day operations and our culture.

    This is a full time position, Monday – Friday, where on site work is required. There is some overtime and occasionally a need to be one call.

    • Industrial maintenance
    • Hydraulics
    • Supervising
    • Maintenance
    • Electrical
    • Manufacturing
    • OSHA Training

    There are some physical requirements for this job. It’s a physical job – you’re on the move as you’re dealing with maintenance issues. You need to be able lift 50lbs.

    Some of the ongoing tasks that need to executed include Leading the teams and site compliance with all safety and OSHA regulations. Work with shop operations and vendors on repairs and preventative maintenance. Troubleshooting motor control circuits is also an important part of the job. In addition this position involves developing plans for consistent preventative maintenance on all equipment, plant facilities and equipment – and ensure the team follows said schedule.

    Required skills

    • Experience with 3 phase power
    • Experience working on the repair and regular maintenance of industrial equipment such as Hydraulic Brakes and Shears, Power Saws, MIG Welding machines and more
    • Basic Millwright experience with installation of machinery and reading drawings
    • Basic Carpentry is a plus
    • Working knowledge of airless spray paint is a plus

    Qualifications include
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing facility
    • 3 or more years of management / supervisory experience
    • 4 or more years  of Hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial knowledge
    • Formal training with any NEC codes, OSHA 10 or 30-hour, safety related.
