New Product News: The T-2KXHB
News about our 𝙉𝙀𝙒 𝙋𝙍𝙊𝘿𝙐𝘾𝙏!
PTR would like to introduce our newest addition to the Cart Tipper Line, the T-2KXHB!
T-2KXHB is a 2,000 lb. capacity, extended reach height tipper slotted above our established family of low, medium and high frame tippers. It is cost effective, single-stage solution for tipping over 100” high load edge.
Cart Tippers, also known as Cart Dumpers and Commercial Lifters, help your organization reduce the risk of work related back injuries, thus saving you time and money. Your waste and recycling handling staff employees spend several hours lifting waste from collection bins into waste removal containers, exposing them to potential injury. When your waste & recycling handling employees utilize a commercial cart dumper, they’re able to move loads from the collection bin to waste removal containers much faster and with less potential for injury or strain.
We offer several other models of lifters, all of which are a breeze to install and economical. You’ll find the money you save in unwanted downtime will make the product well worth the cost! Retail chains, distribution centers , property management companies, universities, and government institutions will also benefit from the addition of a Cart Tipper to their waste and recycling system. Review our line of cart dumper models here.

A Guide to Choosing the Right PTR Baler
The basic job of a baler is to compact your recyclable materials into a manageable form. In order to make the most appropriate choice consider the following: materials, space, size and budget. With so many models to choose from, selecting the best PTR baler for your business can be tricky. We’re here to help make the process easier! Check out this comprehensive guide to choosing a baler that will suit your company’s unique needs.
If your organization produces recyclable waste (any most all do to some extent), then you need a recycling baler. Knowing the type of recyclable waste you’re dealing with is key in determining the baler you’ll need.
All PTR Vertical Downstroke Balers seamlessly bale cardboard, plastic P.E.T. bottles, aluminum cans, magazines, office paper, newsprint, paper cartons, e-waste, textiles and clothing. But only a few heavy-duty models can additionally handle foam and rugs, tires, white goods (appliances) and non-ferrous metals. For example, our 500HD and 7200HD models are the perfect choice if you operate a larger warehouse, recycling center, hotel, supermarket, retail chain, mall or hospital, that sees a lot of that type of material.
Space is another factor that comes into play when choosing your PTR baler model. If you have plenty of warehouse floor space as well as plenty of height, you won’t have to worry about this too much. Conversely, if you have a condensed amount of space and low ceiling height, you’ll want to consider a model such as our 2318, which is a low-profile, smaller baler, ideal for limited ceiling height.
Since our balers are Vertical, they take up much less space than many horizontal baler models. You will want to also keep in mind that you’ll need some extra space for when the bale is ejected, as well as an area where they can then be transported out.
The size of your baler should be based on the amount you’ll be putting it to work. Those who will only produce a few bales each week most likely won’t have a need for one of our larger balers, and visa versa.
Our Vertical Balers range in size from 24″ to 72″, and can accommodate balers anywhere from 100 lbs to 1800 lbs.
Of course, budget is an important factor when choosing a baler. PTR respects that each company has it’s own budget. You’ll work with an expert customer representative that will be able to help match you with a baler that will suit your needs and stay within your budget.
In addition to our line of new Vertical Balers, PTR also proudly offers our Rebuild Program of balers. This is a great way for those working with limited budgets to get a like-new piece of certified equipment for the most economical price out there. These machines have undergone a thorough 52 pint inspection process and a complete reconditioning.
We are confident that we’ll be able to find you a custom solution. Contact us to learn more about our new and rebuilt baler models! We’re happy to help you from start to finish.
Facility Management with PTR Equipment
If you’re looking for a turnkey solution for your recycling and waste management needs, PTR has it. We work with many facility and property management organizations nationwide, among other markets. For example, we offer solutions for facilities such as:
- Industrial facilities
- Movie Theaters
- Department Stores & More
We have large manufacturing facilities, located in Philadelphia PA and Plant City, FL, as well as stocking programs, so we can deliver and install quickly and expertly. Our account representatives are trained to ensure you’re matched with equipment and service plans best suited for your needs. One way we do this is through analyzing and identifying your company’s waste stream composition.
- Wet Waste: This includes organic materials like food and liquid waste. You won’t have to worry about fluid leakage, pests or unpleasant odors with a PTR Compactor.
- Dry Waste: The PTR stationary compactor is perfect for facilities that deal with mostly dry waste. This would include home supply chains, clothing stores, store chains, and distribution centers, to name a few. Waste is compacted, the container is removed and emptied off-site, and then brought back to the location by a waste hauler.
- Recyclable Waste: Our Vertical Balers are an excellent way to manage your recyclable materials and create a new revenue stream for your company. Cardboard, plastic bags, shrink wrap, plastic bottles, aluminum cans and much more (depending on model), can be diverted from the landfill. Our balers will help you meet sustainability goals and regulations. The new PTR Smart Baler features innovative technology that we know we revolutionize your current processes.
16 out of 20 major retailers in the U.S. choose PTR products, and the reason is simple. PTR manufactures a superior product, backed by a comprehensive standard warranty, and continues to deliver excellent customer service long after the sale. All of our waste and recycling equipment is built to be the safest on the market, meeting all OSHA and NOISH recommendations. We also offer additional products such as Cart Dumpers and Baler Conveyors, to help keep your employees safe and productive.

Holiday Giving 2019
Each year around this time, PTR organizes our Holiday Giving Project. Employees across all departments of the company are asked to bring in various items to be donated to chosen organizations throughout the holiday season.
This year, we began collecting canned goods as well as gently worn winter clothing like hats, scarves and gloves, since the end of October. All were donated to the St. Francis of Assisi Soup Kitchen on Kensington Ave. in time for Thanksgiving.
Now, we’re excited to see what we can gather for the St. Francis/ St. Vincent Home for Children before the drive ends on December 13th! We’re collecting items for boys and girls ages 13 to 21.
We’re very proud to support these fantastic local charities. Thanks to all employees who have contributed so far, and let’s keep those donations coming!
Our baler conveyor is another piece of accessory equipment that is key to streamlining backroom operations, enhancing productivity and significantly improving workplace safety.
Our conveyors are compatible with PTR baler models 2300HDX, 5000HD, and 7200HD. We are also able to work with an existing conveyor, as long as the dimensions line up.
SAFE & EASY TO USE
PTR’s Conveyor, like other PTR recycling and waste equipment, is built with ease of use in mind.
You’re able to feed the baler from the rear of the machine or from either side into the hopper. When the baler chamber is full, a sensor light illuminates. At this point, you’ll know it’s time to run a baler cycle.
There is another great option, where the operator is able to cycle the baler ram using a rear pendant. This way they won’t need to step away from the conveyor feed in order to walk over to the baler control panel on the machine while in use.
